ASKA TESTIMONIALS
American Shotokan Karate Academy

"American Shotokan Karate Academy embodies all the
essential qualities that a parent wants when selecting a martial
arts program for their child; traditional values, excellent
instruction, consistent discipline, and unsurpassed martial arts
training.  The lessons my children have learned from ASKA
will last a lifetime."
- Mrs. Amy  Chaffin
ASKA Parent

"I have learned a great deal from studying karate at American
Shotokan Karate Academy. In addition to self-defense and kata
I have learned more about self-discipline and respect for
others. I would recommend ASKA to any other person
because it has a great influence on everything you do - from
school, to safety, and self awareness."

"I do not consider it a hardship to drive an hour away to reach
our class or arrange schedules to meet all of my families
needs just for the privilege of studying in this school. I am
challenged every time I show up. Each class is filled with
discipline and respect, encouragement and accomplishment.
It is truly an honor to study under Sensei Michael Jackson at
the American Shotakan Karate Academy."
- Mrs. Diana C. McDonald
ASKA Student & ASKA Parent

One of my favorite quotes is, "How can one lead someone
else to the light while still standing in the dark..." I know that
our program offers many different things to a wide range of
people from young to old, male and female, shy and bashful,
tall or small, it does not matter. This is the gift that our martial
arts program provides. Don't get us confused with any other
Shotokan school in the area, because there is only one
American Shotokan Karate Academy.

ASKA Chief Instructor

Hi Sensei,
"It was wonderful hearing from you again.  I am glad to see
you successful in your endeavor as a martial artist. Reading
about you and your accomplishment on the web has given me
the inspiration I needed to rekindle that old fire, passion, I had
for Shotokan.  So, I am gearing up to get back into the practice
of Shotokan again.  Let us keep in touch."
